Rafael Nadal and Kobe Bryant Model Nike Sportswear

Sweats usually aren't my thing. I think people should only shlep around in sweats if they are lounging at home, but there is something about the way Rafael Nadal wears his sweats. Even in his purple sweatshirt he still manages to look good. Honestly not many men can pull off wearing such a light shade of purple. Kobe Bryant isn't one of my favorite people, but he looks ok in his sweats too. I guess.

Eva Mendes Steamy Calvin Klein Ad

To keep with the traditional sexy, barely any clothes Calvin Klein Jeans ads, Eva Mendes takes it all off again. This time she isn't revealing everything (she still has on her Calvins), like she did for a certain scandalous Calvin Klein Secret Obsession commercial, but the pictures are still stirring some buzz in tinsel town. Eva visited The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien where they spoke candidly about her 'work.' I mean its her job, but as Conan pointed out, it hardly seems like work when you slather oil all over your body and get cozy with male model Jamie Dornan.

Needless to say Eva looks amazing in the photos, if not a bit greasy. The ads are said to be on billboards as well as magazines.

Kate Moss and Darias Werbowy pose for Mert & Marcus for Longchamp Winter 2009

Kate Moss and Daria Werbowy, a Canadian model are featured in the ad campaign for Longchamp Paris for Winter 2009. The campaign was shot by the sought after photography pair, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, also known as Mert & Marcus.

Not sure that I understand the meaning behind the faceless soldiers in the background. The pouty pair contrast greatly next to the soldiers who only seem to be there to do the models bidding, as well as hold their bags.

Scarlet Johansson is the new face of Mango

Not only have Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz shared the spotlight in the Woody Allen film Vicky Christina Barcelona, but now they are sharing the spotlight from the Mango collection. Well not sharing exactly. Scarlett is taking over Penelope's old job as the 'face' of Mango featuring in the Fall 09/ Winter 10 campaign. Penelope designed for the Spanish label, however Scarlett will not be following in her footsteps.

A spokesperson for Mango tells WWD that Johansson is an "extraordinary personality, fun, young" and adding, "She's Mango's ideal urban woman, independent and cosmopolitan."

The photographs taken for the campaign (shown above) were taken by photographer Mario Sorrenti.

Penelope Cruz - Mango 2008 Spring Summer Collection

Finally the 2008 Spring Summer line that Penelope and Monica Cruz designed for Mango is out. Back in January I wrote in anticipation about the line and the advertisements that featured Penelope and her sister Monica. Now on the Mango website you can see the line and buy a few pieces.

The sisters kept it simple, using lots of black and white and simple cuts. Florals are also very prominent in their pieces and they are done very tastefully. Their style is simple and chic, similar to the way many women dress in Spain. In Spain women are chic and fashionable without looking like they are trying to hard. I remember as a young girl, my grandmother always stressing the importance of looking nice and dressing well, even when going to the supermarket. Thoughout the years the style has gotten more casual, as you can see many teens wearing sneakers and ripped jeans, acquiring a more punk aesthetic, however the Spanish elegance is still prevalent. I especially love the polka dot black dress and the floral off the shoulder dress seen below.

Mischa Barton Iceberg Spring Campaign

Since her time on The OC, Mischa Barton hasn't been making any waves in acting world. Many think that her decision to leave The OC was going to drive her to obscurity, but she manages to cling on to her fame through the fashion world. She is back with fashion powerhouse Iceberg for the Spring 2008 ad campaign. She hasn't fallen off the radar just yet.

The Iceberg ads can only be described as fierce, supermodel TV star Tyra Banks favorite word. Mischa makes the clothes look hot (to quote another pop icon, heiress).

Penelope and Monica Cruz Design For Mango

You aren't seeing double. Penelope Cruz and her sister Monica Cruz pose for these new ads for Mango. Besides the uncanny resemblance between sisters, they also share a great sense of style. The sisters are only three years apart (Penelope is older) yet they look like they can be twins.

After the success of their 2007 Fall/Winter Collection for Mango, the sisters are returning again, designing a new line for Spring/Summer 2008.

The new ads are fun and casual. I love how they mix red and white, afterall red is one of my favorite colors. The black and white ad plays with the idea of women wearing men's clothing. The over-sized button shirt look like something women could steal from a boyfriend or brother's closet. It will be interesting to see if the sisters actually incorporated such a look into their line.

Do I believe that they both really designed the clothes themselves? I mean it's hard to tell. How much do actors truly know about designing clothes? Of course they are in a business dependent on image and style, but isn't that what stylist are for? Do I think that Penelope and her sister drew some sketches or actually took out some scissors, or draped fabric? No. I do however believe that they incorporated their taste into the line. I love Penelope's style and consider myself a fan of the Fall/Winter 2007 line and cannot wait to see what the Spring line has in store.
