Take a minute to browse the handmade and vintage items found on
Etsy.com. If you are creative and make your own clothes, bags, or any other crafts entertain the possibility of selling them on Etsy. Personally I think that handmade items are unique and more personal. Buy a bag from Old Navy and it is guaranteed you'll see someone else wearing the same bag as you. Buy a handmade bag on Etsy.com and the chances of bumping into someone with your same style is greatly reduced.

I'm not usually a big fan of courduroy, however this burnt red courdoroy bag is a stylish version of this fabric. The bag is rather large. It would be great for commuting or if you need to carry something large such as portfolios, a labtop, or art pieces. There are 6 pockets on the inside. You could fit everything you could possibly need in this bag.
Cosmetic Envelope Bag
The website describes the bag as a rich brown, however in the picture it looks more like a burgundy. The inner lining is pink. The bag is cute and small. It would work well as a cosmetic case.
Vintage Black Leather Clutch
This vintage black leather clutch is simple and sophisticated. The textured front of the bag makes it more interesting than if it were a plain black clutch. The closure is magnetic and has 2 zipper compartments inside.
May Milto French Dancer Passport Holder
The dual pocket holder and a cute way to hold your passport, rather than tossing it to the bottom of your carry on bag. The passport holder is made of canvas and covered with vinyl, making it durable. I may be partial to this passport holder because the screenprint is of May Milton, a piece done by Toulouse-Lautrec. I enjoy a lot of his work.
These bibs are sturdy, waterproof, reversible, easy to clean, and best of all eco-friendly! The idea to re-use plastic bags to create a cute bib is a clever new way to recycle. The cotton tape around the edges make the bibs softer on babies necks. The bibs have a velcro closure.
Bold Leather Clutch
These clutches are very simple in structure, however the brighter colors make them interesting. A bold, bright color works better with a simple cut anyway.
Croc-Embossed Leather Clutch
Another clutch, sorry I can't help myself. The same creator of the bold leather clutch created this edgier version of the classic clutch. Merely use exciting material, in this case a faux croc leather in a dark wine. This clutch would be great for a night out.
Red Leather Passport Case
Red is my favorite color, as I've mentioned before. The case is simple but the red makes it more interesting than a brown or black.
Sleek Leather Clutch
This brownish gray leather clutch has a brown reptile stripe that runs down the middle. This clutch has a snap closure.
Heidi Klum's fiery crimson dress definitely made a statement on the red carpet. I'm just not sure if it was a good one. People will probably be torn on this look because it is the Oscars and this is the ceremony to be dramatic. Maybe the dress combined with her huge bun turned me off. The long train and large collar seemed a bit much leaving her looking like she was wrapped up in fabric.
I know what you might be thinking. What is Cameron Diaz doing on this list? But my first reaction to Cameron on the red carpet was just plain blah. She didn't stand out on the carpet and the dress didn't do anything for her complexion. The look on a whole, her hair, makeup, and Christian Dior dress were boring, and she remained forgetable by the end of the night.
I hate to do it because I love Catherine Heigl, but I really did not like her dress, hair, or makeup. The Escada dress reminded me of a high school prom. Her hair and makeup looked to overdone. You can see in her closeups that it looks like her makeup was spray painted on. She was going for old Hollywood glamour but didn't nail it. She looked a little out dated.
Wrong color, wrong color, wrong color. I love big bold colors but this dandelion Roberto Cavalli dress did nothing for Kelly Preston. The dress is simple in structure and I feel she would have looked better in a different color.
Tilda Swinton is known for her quirky sense of style. I do respect her decision to dress to the beat of her own drum however this Lanvin dress is completely unflattering and not body conscious. It's dark and has a lot of fabric draped. She did a great job at hiding herself.
Looks like Daniel Day-Lewis forgot to look in the mirror before he left his home. I guess it doesn't matter much though. He won Best Actor.
